FAYETTE, Iowa. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team ended its season with a 2-0 victory over Upper Iowa on Sunday afternoon.
SMSU finishes the season at 4-13 overall and 4-11 in the NSIC while UIU drops to 3-13-2 overall and 2-12-2 in the conference.
The Mustangs gained the lead in the first half with a goal from
Alli Miskowiec, her seventh goal of the season, assisted by
Abbey Hoisington.
Erin Fisher scored her season goal of the season in the 79
th minute, unassisted to advance the Mustangs lead to 2-0.
Miskowiec lead both teams' with seven shots, three of them on goal. The Mustangs out-shot the Peacocks 18-16 and nine-to-four on goal.
Mustang goalkeeper,
Jenna Meyer, played all 90 minutes with four saves to move her record to 2-7.
Miskowiec ends the season as the Mustangs' lead scorer with seven goals this season.
