FAYETTE, Iowa. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team fell in a 2-0 shutout against Washburn (Kan.) this afternoon in its season opener.
The Mustangs, now 0-1, were outscored by the Ichabods strong offense. The Ichabods led 21-7 in shots and 11-1 in corner kicks. Mustang goalkeeper

Abbey Hoisington, who all recorded one shot on goal.
The Ichabods first goal came not even a minute after Craigmile saved one shot attempt by WU's Ellie Karloff. Seconds later, Tera Lynch scored her first goal of the season.
The Mustangs (0-1) will face Fort Hays (0-1) on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Fayette, Iowa. Fort Hays fell 1-0 to Upper Iowa this afternoon.
