CROOKSTON, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's soccer team earned its third road victory of the season at Minnesota Crookston on Friday afternoon. SMSU led in the 4-1 victory with 28 to five shots and 22 to four in shots on goal.
SMSU (3-5, 3-3 NSIC) was led by
Abbey Hoisington who scored two goals in tonight's match. UMC (1-7-1, 1-4-1 NSIC) scored its only goal of the match in the 14
th minute to tie the game at 1-1 before the Mustangs went on to score three more unanswered goals.
Hoisington recorded the first two goals of the game, her third and fourth on the season. She also led in shots with seven, six of them on goal and tied with one assist.
Alli Miskowiec also recorded her fourth goal of the season in the 84
th minute of the game, assisted by Hoisington.
Alex Harmdierks capitalized on the Mustangs win by scoring her first goal of the season in the 89
th minute, assisted by Miskowiec.

Jenna Meyer picked up her first win of the season with three saves on the night.
SMSU (3-5, 3-3 NSIC) travel to Bemidji State (9-0, 5-0 NSIC) on Sunday at 3 p.m. to complete the road series weekend.
