MELBOURNE, Fla. – After a high scoring bottom of the first inning, Florida Tech soared over Southwest Minnesota State 15-1 in five innings in game one of a double header at Nancy Bottge Field in Melbourne, Florida.

th win of the season for a 20- 6 record. FIT sits at No. 10 in the nation in the latest rankings. FIT had 11 hits and no errors while SMSU had three hits and two errors.

The Panthers brought six runs in the bottom of the first for an early 6-0 lead. They then capitalized them scoring in the next three innings before the fourth when the Mustangs kept them at bay.

In the second inning, they brought two more before stringing together seven runs in the third.
