MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State University fans are reminded to sign-up for the new SMSU Mustang App for a chance to win great prizes throughout the year!
 
The more SMSU Athletics events you attend, the more chances you have to win a 55" HD Smart TV or Ultimate Yeti Cooler package.
 
For every home SMSU athletic event you attend and check in to via the Mustang App from now until Dec. 14, 2019, you will have a chance to WIN the grand prize in December! One lucky SMSU student will win a 55" HD Smart TV and one lucky SMSU fan will win an ultimate Yeti package courtesy of Ace Hardware (each valued at over $500).
 
The drawing will be held during the second half of the men's basketball game on Dec. 14. Must be present to win. After your name is announced, you will have five minutes to visit the Fan Relations Tent to claim your prize. If you are unable to make it to the Fan Relations tent in five minutes, we will draw another winner.
 
The new free mobile app was launched on Aug. 22 and serves as a one-stop shop for fans on the go. In addition to news, rosters, schedules, game recaps, highlights, scores and live stats, the SMSU Mustang App is crafted to enhance your game day experience whether attending the game or following from home. To ensure fans are eligible to participate in rewards and in-game promotions, fans are encouraged to turn location services on.
 
Fans will be able to customize push notifications for breaking news and information on their favorite SMSU teams.
 
The new app offers more opportunities to earn points and rewards. Once in the app:
 
      •Create an account with an email address or login with Facebook
             SMSU students are encouraged to login with their SMSU email
     •Select the drop down menu and click on the Rewards button
     •Choose which program you are participating in i.e. Mustang Fan Rewards or Mustang Student Rewards
     •When you see the "You are checked in" below the SMSU logo, you have successfully checked in to the event and can now participate in promotions/activities (during the game)
