Mustangs pick up shutout victory over Wolves on Friday

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Southwest Minnesota State soccer team (4-1, 2-1 NSIC) held off the Northern State Wolves (2-3, 0-2 NSIC) in a 1-0 shutout, SMSU's third shutout this season, on Friday night.

Alex Lotts recorded her second career goal in the 25th minute, assisted by Kelli Wentz to put the Mustangs on the board in the first half.

Amanda Haimes improves to a 4-1 record in her shutout as she recorded four saves off 10 shots faced.

SMSU out-shot NSU 16-10.

Alli Miskowiec had five shots with three of them on goal. Lotts scored one goal off two shots.
Southwest Minnesota State (4-1, 2-1 NSIC) takes on MSU Moorhead at 1 p.m. on Sunday in Moorhead, Minn.
