MARSHALL, Minn. -- The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team opened its home dual season on Friday night with 145-94 victory over the University of Jamestown inside the Don Palm Natatorium.
 
SMSU is now 2-1 on the season, while UJ drops to 0-2.
 
Natalie Bohnert won a pair of individual events and was also a member of a first-place relay team. She won the 200-yard IM at 2:14.15 and won the 100-yard butterfly at 1:01.08.
 
Juliana Villa, Addi Schroeder, Bohnert and Maija Geier opened the meet winning the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:54.89.
 
Quincie Klein also won a pair of individual events cruising to a victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:36.11, while teammate Abbie Christensen placed second at 12:01.49. Klein also captured the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:37.62.
 
MacKenzie Kallevig hit the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle at 55.64 with Villa finishing fourth at 56.98.
 
Also collecting a first-place finish was Geier in the 100-yard backstroke closing with a time of 1:02.72 and finishing ahead of teammate Kendyl Near at 1:03.90 and Christensen at 1:04.64.
 
Near earned another first-place time for the Mustangs in the 100-yard breaststroke recording a time of 1:11.92.
 
Sarah McDonald finished second in the 1-meter diving with a score of 166.05 and was also second in the 3-meter with a total of 186.15.
 
Southwest Minnesota State returns to action on Nov. 6 at the Minnesota Morris Triangular.
