MARSHALL, Minn. – The Mustang Booster Club has announced tickets are available for the 19th annual Mustang Gold Rush Raffle, sponsored by the Mustang Booster Club, set for Saturday, Feb. 19, inside the R/A Facility on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University.
The Mustang Gold Rush Raffle is a unique and fun event to help support a great cause. A total of $6,200 will be awarded throughout the evening, along with other great prizes, all while supporting SMSU student-athletes! All proceeds from this exciting event, which includes a silent and live auction, go towards student-athlete scholarships at SMSU.
The annual event has raised nearly $800,000 since the first event was held in 2004 with more than $600,000 raised in the past nine years alone.
A ticket costs just $75 and includes a chance to win the grand prize of $2,500. The price of a ticket also includes FREE beverages and appetizers during the social hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Individuals are encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible before all 700 are sold!
Table sponsorships are also available for $1,000 and includes eight raffle tickets ($600 value), signage and recognition during the event, ability to leave marketing materials and promotional items and to personalize and decorate your table. This is a great way to promote your business or to entertain clients.
The reverse raffle will begin at 7 p.m., and that's when the fun begins. Once the raffle starts, all the ticket numbers that have been sold will be displayed on the board and will be called out with lucky individuals winning great prizes.
The first ticket drawn, along with the 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th, 500th and 600th ticket drawn will each win $100, while the 350th ticket drawn wins $500. Other great prizes will also be given away for every 20th ticket drawn throughout the night.
The grand prize of $2,500 is awarded to the raffle ticket holder whose name is the last remaining. A $1,000 prize is awarded to the second remaining ticket holder, while the third, fourth and fifth remaining ticket holders will each be awarded $500. A $100 prize will be awarded seven times other times during the raffle, while $500 will be awarded for the 350th ticket drawn. Individuals do not be present to win the cash prizes.
Individuals attending will be entertained and have the ability to win great prizes competing in various games and also have a chance to enter the drawing for the mystery prize.
Help support Mustang student-athletes by purchasing a ticket from anywhere in the world! Your presence is requested but not required at the event. Individuals DO NOT need to present to win prizes, including the grand prize.
