ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team returned to action on Friday night earning a 150-32 dual meet victory over Adams State University.
SMSU won 10 individual or relay races on the night in improving to 3-0 in duals this season.
Grace Busch won the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 20:22 and won the 200-yard butterfly touching the wall at 2:27.78.
MacKenzie Kallevig also won a pair of races taking home first place in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:06.19 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.68.
Olivia Sholl touched the wall first in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:42.21 and was also first in the 400-yard IM with a time of 5:19.98.
Maija Geier earned first place in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:18.49, while teammate
Quincie Klein won the 500-yard freestyle at 6:07.82.
SMSU's 400-yard medley relay of Geier, Sholl,
Heather Arlen and
Addi Schroeder recorded a first-place time of 4:14.58, while the 400-yard freestyle relay of Busch,
Rebeca Temotio, Kallevig and Geier finished with a time of 3:52.82 to earn first place.
SMSU continues its Colorado trip on Saturday with a quad meet at CSU-Pueblo starting at 2 p.m. (CDT). SMSU will be joined by Adams State, CSU-Pueblo and Western Colorado.
