Moorhead, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team returned to action Friday evening earning a 158-66 dual meet victory over MSU Moorhead.
SMSU won 8 individual or relay races improving to 7-3 this season.
Maija Geier placed first with a season best time of 1:01.30 in the 100-yard backstroke and won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.07.
Natalie Bohnert also won a pair of races taking home first place in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:01.83 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.79.
Grace Busch won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:32.65.
MacKenzie Kallevig touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:32.02.
SMSU's 200-yard medley relay of
Juliana Villa,
Olivia Sholl,
Heather Arlen and
Addi Schroeder recorded a first-place time of 1:54.55, while the 200-yard freestyle relay of Bohnert, Kallevig, Busch and Geier finished with a time of 1:42.18 to earn first place.
The Mustangs will continue their season this Thursday when they travel to Sioux Falls to compete at the Augustana Invite.
