THIS WEEK
•The Southwest Minnesota State University women's soccer team (3-8-1, 3-5-1 NSIC) travels north for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this Friday and Sunday.
•On Friday night, SMSU will face the University of Minnesota Duluth (4-5-5, 3-3-4 NSIC) with game time slated for 6 p.m. at Malosky Stadium in Duluth, before closing the weekend on Sunday afternoon with a 1 p.m. match-up at league-leading St. Cloud State University (11-2-1, 8-1-1 NSIC).
•SMSU split a pair of home games last weekend and start this week in 11
th place in the NSIC standings with 10 points. UMD is in seventh place with 13 points, while SCSU is atop the league standings with 25 points.

SERIES HISTORY
•SMSU and UMD meet for the 32
nd time on Friday with UMD holding at 24-7 advantage in a series that started in 1996.
•SMSU is 2-11 all-time in games played in Duluth.

HEAD COACH CLAY GLASGOW

Clay Glasgow is in his second season as head coach and has a record of 6-16-8 overall, including 6-13-5 in NSIC play. He was hired as the sixth head coach in program history on Feb. 25, 2022.
•Glasgow came to SMSU after spending eight seasons (2014-21) as head women's soccer coach at Dakota Wesleyan University (S.D.) recording a mark of 49-86-5.
•During his last two seasons at DWU, the Tigers amassed back-to-back winning seasons and qualified for the Great Plains Athletic Conference Tournament both seasons.

SMSU LAST WEEK
•SMSU finished 1-1 in a pair of home games last weekend, defeating Winona State 1-0 on Friday, before suffering a 2-0 loss to Concordia-St. Paul.
•The win over WSU was just the second in 38 games for SMSU in the series.

Selena Prolic scored an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute to give the Mustangs the 1-0 lead.
•The Mustangs outshot the Warriors 11-10, while WSU had more shots on goal, 7-6.Â

Kenna Conley was in net for the Mustangs and recorded the shutout with seven saves.Â
•In Sunday's loss, CSP got out to a hot start with two goals in the first 13 minutes.

•Sophomore forward
Haley Mason was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 2. Â
•Mason helped the Mustangs earn a conference point against the No. 23 Bemidji State Beavers for the first time since 2014, as she scored a goal in the 50th minute.
•Mason then scored a pair of goals in SMSU's 2-0 win over Minnesota Crookston.Â
•Mason is the first SMSU player to earn NSIC Player of the Week honors since 2019. Â

SCOUTING MINNESOTA DULUTH
•The Bulldogs are 4-5-5 overall, 3-3-4 NSIC
•UMD is 2-0-1 in its last three games.
•Jackie Jares leads the team with five goals and 14 points.
•Jennifer Norris has started 13 matches and has allowed 20 goals with four shutouts.

SCOUTING ST. CLOUD STATE
•The Huskies are 11-2-1 overall, 8-1-1 NSIC, and have won five straight matches. SCSU hosts Sioux Falls on Friday night.
•Linsey Trapino leads SCSU with five goals and has 12 points.
•Jaylee Strickland has played in goal every game and has six shutouts and a 0.79 GAA.
