MANKATO, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team split a double-dual on Saturday afternoon hosted by Minnesota State University.
SMSU lost 235-120 to Minnesota State but would earn a 187-158 victory over Concordia-St. Paul. The dual featured 16 events, which included 3-meter and 1-meter diving.
Maddy Storm earned a first-place finish for the Mustangs in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.37 and finished second in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:34.83.
Ellie Wilber placed second for SMSU in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:27.06.
Carla Nevi picked-up a first-place finish in the 400-yard IM at 4:48.80 and would earn a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke touching the wall at 59.90.
Natalie Bohnert recorded a time of 2:24.05 to place second in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:24.05.
Maija Geier would earn a pair of third place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (55.71) and 50-yard freestyle (25.39).
SMSU returns to action on Nov. 3 with a triangular at Minnesota-Morris.
