MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University swimming & diving team lost to MSU Moorhead on Friday, 161-138, in a dual meet held inside the Don Palm Natatorium.
Carla Nevi earned a first-place finish for the Mustangs in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.45 and was also first in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:22.83.
Madelynne Storm recorded a pair of first-place finishing for the Mustangs as she won the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:31.26 and the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:07.56.
Maija Geier also picked-up a pair of first-place finishes as she touched the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle (25.11) and the 100-yard freestyle (54.71).
SMSU's 200-yard medley relay team of Nevi, Storm,
Natalie Bohnert and Geier captured first place with a time of 1:50.56.
SMSU is next in action on Nov. 17-18 at the Luther College Invite.
