•The Southwest Minnesota State University women's soccer team (0-3, 0-0 NSIC) opens Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play on Sunday afternoon with a road match-up versus Wayne State College (2-2, 0-0 NSIC) starting at 1 p.m. at the WSC Soccer Pitch in Wayne, Neb.
•Sunday's game will be SMSU's first in eight days since suffering a 4-0 loss at Washburn on Sept. 8.
•WSC opens conference play on Thursday night at Sioux Falls before facing SMSU.

SERIES HISTORY
•SMSU and WSC meet for the 32nd time on Sunday with SMSU leading 16-11-4.
•WSC leads the series 7-3-3 in games played in Wayne.
Last season the two teams played to a 1-1 tie in Wayne.
•SMSU's last win in the series came on Sept. 22, 2019, in Marshall.

HEAD COACH CLAY GLASGOW
•
Clay Glasgow is in his second season as head coach and has a record of 3-11-7 overall, including 3-8-4 in NSIC play. He was hired as the sixth head coach in program history on Feb. 25, 2022.
•Glasgow came to SMSU after spending eight seasons (2014-21) as head women's soccer coach at Dakota Wesleyan University (S.D.) recording a mark of 49-86-5.
•During his last two seasons at DWU, the Tigers amassed back-to-back winning seasons and qualified for the Great Plains Athletic Conference Tournament both seasons.

SMSU LAST WEEK
•SMSU was handed a 4-0 loss at Washburn last Friday night in Topeka, Kan.
•The Mustangs had four shots on the night with three coming from
Alyson Gallagher, including one shot on target.
Reese Leighton also took a shot for SMSU.Â

Rachel Hicks made three saves in the losing effort for the Mustangs.
•The Ichabods scored all four goals in the opening half.

•The Wildcats are 2-2 overall following a 4-1 loss at Washburn this past Sunday.
•WSC will play at Sioux Falls to open league play on Thursday.
•Skylar Stueckrath leads the Wildcats with four goals and one assist.
•WSC was picked to finish tied for 11
th along with SMSU in the preseason NSIC poll.
