MARSHALL, Minn. –Southwest Minnesota State University wrestler junior
Sean Howk was named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic At-Large All-District team announced on Tuesday.
The 2024 Academic All-District® At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student- athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom provided they reach specific academic and athletic guidelines.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Howk, a native of New Ulm, Minn., earns CSC Academic All-District accolades for the second straight year. He is also a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American and three-time Academic All-NSIC honoree. Howk is a graduate of SMSU with a degree in health & physical education and is now pursuing his MBA. He finished the 2023-24 season with an 8-10 record.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America®
programs.
