LARCHWOOD, Iowa – The Southwest Minnesota State women's golf team concluded its fall season on a blustery and rainy Tuesday shooting a final round 71-over-par 359 to finish in ninth place at the 12-team University of Sioux Falls Invitational with a 124-over 700. The two-round tournament was played at the par-72 Grand Falls Golf Resort.
Wayne State captured the team title with a 62-over 638, finishing three shots ahead of Augustana. Piper Hill from Concordia-St. Paul earned medalist honors with a 6-over 150.
Isabella Jacobs finished in 31
st place to pace the Mustangs with a two-round score of 25-over 169. She carded a 13-over 85 on Tuesday with six pars.
Meghan Pundsack tied for 44
th at 30-over 174, following Tuesday's round of 12-over 84, which included one birdie and seven pars.
Allie Nedved shot a 26-over 98 in the final round and tied for 52
nd at 38-over 182.
Berkley Steffen and
Carly Hamman both tied for 56
th with scores of 40-over 184, with Steffen carding a 20-over 92 on Tuesday with Hamman shooting a 29-over 101.
Natalie Appel and
Roni Hook, playing as individuals during the tournament, tied for 65
th at 52-over 196. Appel shot a 95 in the final round with Hook closing at 102.
SMSU returns to play on March 9-10, 2026, with the SMSU Spring Invitational held at Wigwam Resort Red Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
