MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving squad returns to the pool this Saturday afternoon with a double dual versus Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State.
 
The meet begins at 12 p.m. and will take place at the Two Rivers Aquatic Center in Mendota Heights, Minn.
 
SMSU, 0-1 in duals this season following a loss at Western Colorado on Oct. 4, is 6-1 all-time versus CSP with CSP's lone victory coming last season, 183-135, as part of a double dual in Marshall. SMSU is 0-10 all-time versus MSU, including suffering a pair of losses last season.
 
SMSU's Lexi Weems had a strong meet versus WCU earlier this month earning NSIC Swimmer of the Week honors on Oct. 7. She won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.36, while also earning first-place in the 100-yard freestyle touching the wall at 52.61, setting a new Western Colorado pool record in the process and the second fastest in SMSU history. Both times rank first in the NSIC this season (as of Oct. 14).
 
Weems was also anchor on SMSU's first-place 200-yard medley relay team that set a pool record with a time of 1:47.30 and was anchor on the 200-yard freestyle relay that set a pool record with a time of 1:39.77.
 
Carla Nevi also had a big day in Colorado, finishing first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.37, and had a pair of second place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard IM.
