WAYNE, Neb. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's cross country team placed 14
th out of 16 teams at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship held Friday afternoon at the Wayne Country Club.
Winona State won the team title with 28 points with Minnesota State taking home second place with 57 points. Sophia Taarud from Winona State won the individual title covering the 6,000-meter course with a time of 21:19.
SMSU, which finished with 383 points, was led by
Madison Marco, who placed 51
st overall at 24:04.
Kyra Kusnierek ran 24:59 to finish 86
th while
Anneka Sedelmyer crossed the line in 94
th with a time of 25:18.
Kirsten Koopal closed in 110
th with a time of 26:24,
Kaitlin Olson was 129
th at 28:25,
Sophia Nelson ran 29:01 to place 134
th,
Malayna Hemmen finished 137
th at 30:19, while
Lila Bungarden closed in 138
th at 30:38.
