MARSHALL, Minn – Southwest Minnesota State had four members of the volleyball program named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team announced on Tuesday.
Seniors
Karli Arkell and
McKenzie Tolk along with juniors
Leah Jones and
Ashley Peltier earned the honors.
The 2025 Academic All-District® volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. All honorees must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Arkell, a middle blocker from Lamberton, Minn., earns CSC Academic All-District accolades for a third consecutive season. A four-year letter winner, Arkell finished this season third on the team in blocks with 66, adding 207 kills for the second straight season, with a hitting percentage of .290.
Tolk, a libero from Minneota, Minn., receives CSC Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season. A four-year letter winner, Tolk was selected to the All-NSIC second team for the second time in her career, after finishing the season with 486 digs averaging 4.67 digs per set. Tolk also finishes her career fourth all time in digs for the Mustangs with 1,839.
Jones, an outside hitter, earns CSC Academic All-District honors for the first time this season. A native of Marshall, Minn., Jones was named to the All-NSIC first team for the second time in her career and was named to the AVCA All-Central Region First Team, after leading the team with 401 kills while hitting .263 on the season.
Peltier, a native of Taylors Falls, Minn., is a first-time member of the CSC Academic All-District team. The middle blocker received All-NSIC second team honors and finished second on the team with 278 kills, with a hitting percentage of .294, adding 75 blocks.
