MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team travels to Kenosha, Wis. this weekend for a pair of events. The Mustangs first compete in the first NSIC dual of the season against the Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers on Friday, Dec. 5, at 12 p.m. in the De Simone Arena. The next day SMSU will compete in the Jim Koch Wisconsin Open starting at 9 a.m. at the Frank Petretti Fieldhouse.
 
SMSU fifth-year head coach Chayse Jackson is sending 13 athletes to face Wisconsin Parkside on Friday night, and 21 athletes for Saturday's open, with one wrestling unattached.
 
After competing this weekend, the Mustangs head to Indianapolis, Ind. next weekend for the Midwest Classic, hosted by the University of Indianapolis, which takes place on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14. SMSU will not compete again until Jan. 9, where the Mustangs will host the Iron Mike Duals, starting at 11 a.m.
