BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State women's golf returned to action on Monday shooting a 62-over-par 530 in the first round of the Bemidji State Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament played at the par 72 Bemidji Town & Country Club.
SMSU is in fifth place in the nine-team tournament, trailing fourth place Jamestown by three strokes and third place UMary by 12 strokes. Minnesota Crookston leads the tournament with a score of 335, one shot ahead of Concordia-St. Paul.
Isabella Jacobs shot SMSU's low-round with a 9-over 81 with a pair of birdies and eight pars and is tied for fourth place in the 50-player field.
Carly Hamman is tied for 17
th following a round of 16-over 88 with one birdie and four pars.
Allie Nedved shot a 17-over 89 with a pair of birdies and four pars to sit in a tie for 20
th.
Berkley Steffen is tied for 28
th with a 20-over 92, recording four pars.
Meghan Pundsack is tied for 30
th place following a round of 21-over 93 with one birdie and one par.
Roni Hook and
Natalie Appel both played as individuals with Hook shooting a 28-over 100 and Appel carding a 34-over 106.
Tuesday's final round will begin at 8:30 a.m.
