MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's swimming & diving team concluded its home dual season on Friday night with a dominating 225-54 victory over Northern State inside the Don Palm Natatorium.
SMSU captured first-place in every race with
Carla Nevi winning the 50-yard backstroke, the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard IM.
Maggie Johnson earned first-place in the 50-yard butterfly and 50-yard freestyle, while
Maddy Storm won the 50-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke.
Savannah Orzech won the 500-yard freestyle,
Lexi Weems took first in the 200-yard freestyle,
Sophie Bisek earned first place in the 1,000-yard freestyle,
Grace Aesoph picked-up a winning time in the 200-yard backstroke with
Lauren Spencer winning the 200-yard butterfly.
SMSU also captured first place in the 400-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay.
SMSU will now turn its attention to the NSIC Championships on Feb. 11-14 in West Fargo, N.D.
