MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team begins the 2026 calendar year this weekend, hosting the Iron Mike Duals on Friday, Jan. 9, beginning at 11 a.m. The Mustangs will compete in four duals throughout the day.
 
SMSU is one of six schools competing in the duals, with NSIC schools Sioux Falls and Northern State, as well as Fort Hays State, Central Missouri, and Quincy (Ill.) Fifth-year head coach Chayse Jackson is listing 19 athletes to compete on Friday.
 
Friday's tournament will be broadcast on Flo Wrestling. Live results and video broadcast links of all matches can be found at SMSUmustangs.com
 
The Mustangs will be back at home next weekend, facing UMary on Thursday, Jan. 15, at 7:30 p.m., as well as St. Cloud State the following Saturday at 2 p.m., both matches being held in the PE Gym.
