BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team remains in eighth place following two rounds of the 13-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship played at the par-72 Adams Point Golf Complex.
SMSU closed round two on Thursday shooting a 53-over 341 for the second straight day and has a two-round total of 106-over 682.
Isabella Jacobs carded SMSU's low-round for the second straight day with a 10-over 82, making 10 pars and sits in 32
nd place at 20-over 164.
Allie Nedved shot SMSU's second lowest round on Thursday with a 13-over 85, recording 10 pars. She is in 52
nd place overall with a 40-over 184.
Meghan Pundsack had one birdie and six pars on her way to a 15-over 87 in round two and is tied for 45
th place at 29-over 173.
Berkley Steffen is also in 45
th place at 29-over 173, following a round of 15-over 87 on Thursday, which included one birdie and eight pars.
Carly Hamman is in 49
th place at 36-over 180 after finishing round two with a score of 21-over 93 with seven pars.
Minnesota State leads the team scoring with a 40-over 616, and holds a six-shot lead over second place Concordia-St. Paul. Anaka Lysne from Minnesota Crookston and Gaia Stancikova from Wayne State are tied for the individual lead after two rounds at four-over 148.
The final round on Friday begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
