TUCSON, Ariz. -- The No. 6 seed Southwest Minnesota State wheelchair basketball suffered an 83-54 loss to No. 2 seed Auburn University on Friday night in the semifinals of the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Tournament played inside the McKale Center on the campus of the University of Arizona.
SMSU, which defeated No. 11 Eastern Washington and No. 3 Arizona earlier in the tournament, will now face the University of Illinois in the third-place game on Saturday morning starting at 10:30 a.m. SMSU will be looking to earn third-place in the tournament for the second straight season.
