MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team will host its annual 'Late Show' intrasquad scrimmage this Thursday night inside the PE Gym. The event, which begins at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public.
This year's event will once again take place on the first evening of 2026 Gold Rush Days on campus. Students attending have a chance to win prizes and show off their school spirit.
The scrimmage is the first chance for the public to get a look at this year's squad.

Tyler Boddy, return 11 letter winners from its 2025 team that finished 21-7 overall, 14-6 NSIC, and tied for fourth in the conference
The 2026 team features three seniors, four juniors, three sophomores, two redshirt freshman and five true freshmen.
SMSU opens the regular season on Aug. 28-29 with four matches at the West Florida Classic in Pensacola, Fla. SMSU takes on Wheeling (W. Va.) and Spring Hill (Ala.) on Friday, Aug. 28, followed by matches versus West Florida (exhibition) and a second match against Wheeling on Saturday, Aug. 29th.
