Lexington, Ky. - The Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team (3-0) moved up four spots in the week one AVCA Division II Coaches' Poll on Monday afternoon. 

The Mustangs defeated Wheeling (W. Va.) twice and Spring Hill (Ala.) last weekend in Pensacola, Fla., at the Spring Hill Suites Invitational, hosted by West Florida. 

SMSU is one of four teams from the NSIC in the recent poll, with all four teams ranked inside the top 10. St. Cloud State moves up four spots to No. 1, while Wayne State jumps up seven spots to No. 2, and Concordia-St. Paul moves down two spots to No. 3. Minnesota Duluth and Minnesota State are both receiving votes. 

The Mustangs are back on the road this weekend in St. Joesph, Mo., competing in four matches across three days in the Fairfield Inn & Suites Griffon Volleyball Classic. SMSU faces No. 11 ranked Missouri Western State on Thursday, before facing Rockhurst (Mo.) and Northwest Missouri State on Friday. The Mustangs end the weekend against Oklahoma Christian on Saturday.
