MARSHALL, Minn. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team opens the 2026-27 season on Tuesday and Wednesday competing at the 16-team, 36-hole, Central Region Preview held at Adams Point Golf Club in Blue Springs, Mo.
SMSU opens first round play on Tuesday with tee times starting at 9:34 a.m. The final round begins on Wednesday with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. SMSU will have seven players compete in the two-day tournament.
This year's field includes Augustana, Minnesota State, Sioux Falls and Winona State from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, along with Arkansas-Monticello, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Oklahoma Baptist, Southern Arkansas, and Southern Nazarene (Okla.) from the Great American Conference. Schools competing from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association include Newman (Kan.), Missouri Southern State, Missouri Western State, Nebraska-Kearney, Northwest Missouri State and Pittsburg State (Kan.).

rd season— returns three letter winners on the 2026 roster, which includes two juniors and one sophomore. A total of five true freshmen round out the roster.
SMSU shot a score of 88-over-par 664 (334-330) to finish 18
th in last season's Central Region Fall Preview played at Adams Point Golf Club.
