Before SMSU: Wrestled for two seasons at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minn. ... two-time national qualifier ... named to NJCAA Academic Wrestling Team ... collected conference and state titles at 174 pounds ... was also conference and state runner-up at 165 pounds.

Willmar High School:  2007 graduate of Willmar High School ... three-year letterwinner ... named All-Central Lakes Conference ... captured conference championship ... posted 26-2 record during senior year.
