2007: Daktronics All-North Central Region second team honoree ... named to the 2007 NSIC All-Tournament team ... first team All-NSIC honoree ... led the team with a .362 batting average while starting in 44   games ... was third on the team with 34 RBI and 31 hits ... had the team-high 12-game hitting streak ... currently ranks sixth SMSU’s career batting average record book and is fourth in the career home run record book ... finished third in the NSIC with a .448 batting average ... had 20 hits in 41 at bats in conference games ... hit a career-high two home runs versus Minnesota Crookston on April 21 while also recording four RBI ... had one home run against Wisconsin-Parkside, Minnesota Duluth, MSU Moorhead, Ashland, South Dakota, Mary and Northern State ... tallied a career-high nine home runs in the 2007 season.

2006:
Earned First Team All-NSIC and Academic All-NSIC honors as SMSU’s shortstop ... named to NSIC All-Tournament team after batting 10-for-20 (.500) with five RBI and four runs scored in six NSIC tournament games ... finished second on the team with a .390 batting average while starting all 53 games ... led the team with 69 hits, the second-highest single-season total in SMSU history ... was second on the team with 17 multi-hit games and 93 total bases ... had 15 extra-base hits, scored 25 runs, and had 23 RBI ... had team-high 17-game hitting streak to start the season through March 15 ... led NSIC in with 21 base hits and 48 at bats in conference games ... finished sixth in the NSIC in batting average with a .438 average in conference play ... hit first career home run to tie the game in the sixth inning vs. Washburn on February 19 ... also hit home runs against Minnesota-Duluth and Minnesota-Crookston ... had a career high in hits, going 4-for-4 with four RBI, three runs, two doubles, and a triple against Minnesota-Crookston on April 8 ... had another four-hit game vs. Concordia on April 26 ... both four-hit games tied the SMSU single-game record for hits.

2005: Played in 46 games and made 44 starts ... battled an injury and saw limited action at shortstop in second half of the season ... had nine multi-hit games ... was third on th team in batting with a .285 batting average ... tied for the team lead with 31 runs scored ... was second on the team in triples with four ... finished second on the team in stolen bases with 16 ... went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored on Mar. 15 against South New Hampshire ... had a career-high three hits as she went 3-for-4 with two runs scored on April 29 against Upper Iowa ... scored a career-high three runs in two different games, once against St. Cloud State and once against Minnesota-Duluth.

Annandale High School:  2004 graduate of Annandale HS ... Opatz was a successful three sport athlete in high school ... earned captain honors in softball, volleyball and basketball ... in softball Opatz has been named team Most Valuable Player, All-Conference, St. Cloud Times Player of the Year, All-Section, All-Conference Academic, Annandale’s Female Athlete of the Year award and has also received the Golden Bat award ... played for Skip Dolan.
