SMSU Athletics

Competition barbecue teams from across the region travel to the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University located in Marshall, Minn., to compete in the annual SMSU Smokefest competition, a Minnesota State Championship Event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. Smokefest’s unique and family-friendly atmosphere makes it a region favorite.
