SMSU Athletics

The Intramural sports program at Southwest Minnesota State University provides students with opportunities to participate in a variety of competitive and recreational activities. All skill levels are welcome with nearly 6 sports leagues offered throughout the school year. You will be sure to find something just for you in 2024-25!
 

Employment opportunities are also available for work-study students and regular payroll positions. Be a part of SMSU Intramurals TODAY!

OPEN GYM is open to all SMSU students. Open gym will be held in the RA Facility every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday nights from 8-11pm. Sporting equipment check out is available with student ID.
 

SMSU offers fall leagues in flag football, 3 on 3 outdoor basketball and sand volleyball!  SMSU offers winter leagues in men's and women's 5-on-5 basketball and coed indoor volleyball.
