Before SMSU: Spent the 2003 and 2004 seasons at North Dakota State.

High School: 2003 graduate of Cretin-Derham Hall High School ... played for coach Rick Kallok ... named second team all-state, all-metro and two-time all-conference ... played both tight end and defensive line in high school, catching 15 passes for 334 yards and three TDs while averaging 22.3 yards per reception ... had 21 tackles including one sack and another tackle for a loss and recovered one fumble ... also competed in basketball and track & field ... member of the state runner-up 1,600-meter relay team.

Personal: Born Jan. 19, 1985 ... business management major.
