SMSU Athletics

Grant Murray is in his first season as an assistant coach at SMSU in 2013 and will coach the team's tight ends.  He will also serve as the program's strength and conditioning coordinator.

Murray joined the SMSU staff after spending the 2012 season as running backs coach at Millikin University (Ill.).  Millikin finished the season 5-5, while rushing for more than 2,000 yards and 17 touchdowns.

A native of Mequon, Wis., Murray played four seasons as an offensive lineman at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and was a member of three NCAA Division III National Championships.

Murray, a 2012 graduate of UWW, began his coaching career in 2011 as an assistant coach at Homestead High School.  He is pursuing his master's degree at SMSU.
