Kelly Cline is in her first season on the SMSU coaching staff in 2026 and will serve assistant defensive backs coach.
Cline spent the 2025 season as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator at Division III Maine Maritime Academy, coaching one all-conference defensive back.
Prior to Maine Maritime, Cline spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She spent one season as assistant linebackers coach before spending two seasons as assistant defensive backs coach. She helped coach five players who earned all-conference accolades.
She earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from UWL in 2023.
