Kevin Silva is in his first season as an assistant coach with SMSU in 2026 and will serve as assistant linebackers coach.
Silva comes to SMSU after serving as an assistant coach at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas, during the 2025 season. He started his coaching career in 2024 serving as a student assistant coach at Division III Trinity University.
Silva played three seasons for the Trinity University football team (2021-23), where he was a member of three conference championship and three NCAA tournament teams.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences from Trinity in 2025.
