Lane Lawson is in his first season as inside linebackers coach at SMSU in 2018.
Lawson came to SMSU after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Concordia University (Wis.), where he served as the junior varsity head coach and also coached the team’s running backs.
He played two seasons of linebacker at Concordia University, before transferring to Black Hills State (S.D.) and playing three seasons, including recording 40 tackles as a senior in 2015.
Lawson is a 2015 graduate of Black Hills State with a degree in general studies and earned his master's degree at Concordia University.
