Rory Humphrey is in his second season on the SMSU staff in 2026 and will coach the program's running backs.
Humphrey came to SMSU after spending three seasons as running backs coach at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He has also been an assistant coach for the Filton Pride (2019-22) and Bristol Apache (2021-22) in Bristol, United Kingdom. He also served a remote analyst for the University of Akron (2020-21).
Humphrey earned a degree in sports conditioning and exercise from South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, while earning his master's degree from UW-Oshkosh in educational leadership and policy & graduate certificate in athletic leadership and sports management.
