Taulib Ikharo enters his first season as an assistant for SMSU and will coach the team's wide recievers.
Ikharo comes to SMSU after finishing his playing career as a wideout for the Carolina Panthers in 2013 where he spent time with the team during training camp.
Prior to his professional career, Ikharo played wide receiver at Louisiana Tech Bulldogs from 2010-11. Ikharo caught 104 receptions for 1,067 yards and eight touchdowns during two seasons for the Bulldogs. He transferred to Louisiana Tech from Laney College where he was a JUCO standout during his freshman and sophomore years.

Ikharo earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from Louisiana Tech.
