SMSU Athletics

Travis Mokate enters his second season as an assistant coach at SMSU in 2013 and will coach the team's defensive secondary.  He was the defensive line coach in 2012.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Mokate spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Simpson College (Iowa) prior to joining SMSU’s coaching staff. 

A 2010 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in economics, Mokate spent six years in the United State Marine Corps.  He is pursuing his master’s degree in sports leadership from SMSU.
