2017: Indoor- Competed in four meets ... finished fourth at the Minnesota Open in the shot put with a toss of 12.73m ... had a personal best throw of 13.92 in the shot put at the NSIC Championships.
Outdoor- Competed in five meets ... finished second in the javelin at the MIAA vs NSIC Showdown, the Holst Invitational, and at the Minnesota State Twilight ... had a personal best javelin throw at the MSU Twilight with a throw of 52.51m ... finished seventh at the NSIC Championships in the javelin.
Before SMSU: Played two seasons of football at College of the Siskiyous ... served as team's punter and played tight end ... earned honorable mention all-conference as a punter in 2015.
High School: 2013 graduate of North Bend HS ... played for coach Gary Prince ... all-conference tight end and linebacker.
Personal: Born Oct. 1, 1994 ... son of Woody and Melanie Mateski ... exercise science major.
