Jess Anderson is in her second season as an assistant coach at SMSU in 2011-12.
Anderson is a 2009 graduate of Minnesota State University Mankato with a degree in Physical and Health Education. Anderson also minored in Adapted Physical Education.
Anderson comes to SMSU after coaching the 16/18 and under Mankato Peppers, an ASA traveling team for three years.
Anderson was a four-year letterwinner in softball at Minnesota State, Mankato. She was named first team All-NSIC in 2008 and was also named to the regional All-Tournament team in 2009. Anderson ended her career third in school history with 234 hits in four seasons. She managed a career .324 batting average.
Anderson resides in Marshall.
