SMSU Athletics

Kristi Larson is in her second season as an assistant coach with the SMSU softball program in 2021.

Larson came to SMSU after previously serving as a volunteer assistant coach at University of Minnesota Crookston. She was also an assistant coach at Graettinger-Terrill/Ruthven-Ayrshire High School for two years and an assistant coach at Ellsworth Community College for one season before taking over as the head coach for the 2019 season.  

Larson started her career at Iowa Lakes Community College where she received Honorable Mention All-Region her freshman year and 2^nd Team All-Region her sophomore year. She then transferred to the University of Minnesota Crookston and finished out her career. She was awarded the NSIC Myles Brand Academic with Distinction Honors.  

Larson is pursuing her master's degree at SMSU.
