Kristi Larson is in her second season as an assistant coach with the SMSU softball program in 2021.
Larson came to SMSU after previously serving as a volunteer assistant coach at University of Minnesota Crookston. She was also an assistant coach at Graettinger-Terrill/Ruthven-Ayrshire High School for two years and an assistant coach at Ellsworth Community College for one season before taking over as the head coach for the 2019 season. Â
Larson started her career at Iowa Lakes Community College where she received Honorable Mention All-Region her freshman year and 2nd Team All-Region her sophomore year. She then transferred to the University of Minnesota Crookston and finished out her career. She was awarded the NSIC Myles Brand Academic with Distinction Honors. Â
Larson is pursuing her master's degree at SMSU.Â
