Rebecca Stier begins her first season as an assistant coach for the SMSU women's and men's track and field teams.

Stier came to SMSU after a year of coaching basketball, volleyball and track & field at Grand Meadow High School in Grand Meadow, Minn.

Stier, a native of Rochester, Minn., was a six-time All-American at Winona State and currently holds the record for the longest shot put throw in Warrior history.

Stier, a 2011 graduate of Winona State, lives in Marshall.
