Former Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball standout Devin Diedrich enters her second season as an assistant coach at SMSU in 2016.
Diedrich comes to SMSU after spending the 2014-15 academic year at Thief River Falls High School were she was an assistant coach for both the volleyball and girls' basketball squads. She helped lead to the state tournament in both sports.
Diedrich was a four-year letterwinner for SMSU from 2008-12, earning numerous accolades. She was a three-time first team All-NSIC honoree, including earning 2010 NSIC Player of the Year honors. She was a 2008 AVCA honorable mention All-America, a 2009 AVCA third team All-America and was an AVCA first team All-America in 2010.
She currently ranks among the top 10 in program history in several statistical categories. She ranks third in kills (1,652), fourth in attack pct. (.314), fifth in blocks (406) and 10th in matches played (131).
Diedrich is a 2013 graduate of SMSU and is currently earning her M.S. in Physical Education Coaching of Sport.
