Taylor Reiss is in her first season as an assistant coach with the SMSU volleyball program in 2021.
Reiss is no stranger to the program after an outstanding four-year career with the Mustangs from 2015-18. Reiss finished her career as the most decorated player in team history, twice earning AVCA National Player of the Year accolades in 2017 and 2018. She was also named the 2018-19 Honda Division II Female Athlete of the Year.
A three-time AVCA All-American, Reiss closed her career recording 2,146 kills, 5,293 attacks and 1,182 digs in 120 matches. In the SMSU career record book, she ranks second in kills, second in attacks, second in points and ninth in attack percentage.
Reiss, a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, is a 2018 graduate of SMSU with a degree in exercise science and is pursuing her master’s degree.
