Shaylee Hoecherl joins the SMSU wrestling program as director of operations for the 2026-27 season.
Hoecherl will be involved in many aspects of the SMSU program including team logistics and travel, tournament organization and hospitality, gameday operations, marketing, and oversight of the team wrestling managers.
“We are excited to welcome Shaylee to the staff as our new Director of Operations,” said SMSU head wrestling coach, Chayse Jackson. “She brings a wealth of experience within the sport and has previously worked with our program as a manager. Her background and education make her well suited for the position, and I look forward to seeing the impact she will have on our team and staff! We could not have found a better person to be the first Director of Wrestling Operations.”
Hoecherl has been involved with wrestling most of her life, serving as a manager and photographer in the past.
Shaylee, who earn her associate’s degree in business and accounting from Northeastern Junior College, currently resides in Marshall with her fiancé, Bronson Richins, and their dog, Sven.
