Angela Lee is in her second year as Assistant AD for Marketing & Engagement in 2025-26. She started her current role on Sept. 26, 2024.
Lee moved into her position after spending one year as SMSU’s Director of Alumni Relations and Outreach. Prior to joining SMSU in 2023, Lee worked for Lawrence and Schiller, a marketing firm in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Lee is no stranger to SMSU Athletics after spending six seasons as a member of the SMSU volleyball team. Known as Angela Young during her playing days, Lee was a two-time All-NSIC first team honoree and closed her career earning AVCA All-American honorable mention honors in 2021. She appeared in 106 matches, while recording 1,213 kills and a .259 hitting percentage. She also amassed 580 digs and 120 total blocks.
Lee was also a standout off the court, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors three times, while capping her career earning CoSIDA Academic All-American second team accolades in 2021.
Lee earned both her bachelor’s degree in marketing and communication and MBA from SMSU.
Angela and her husband, Michael, live in Dawson, Minn.
