Dr. Sonya Vierstraete

Dr. Sonya Vierstraete, a professor of education at Southwest Minnesota State, is in her 15th year as SMSU's Faculty Athletics Representative in 2025-26.

Vierstraete is designated by SMSU to serve as a liaison between the institution and the athletics department and also as a representative of the institution in conference and NCAA affairs.
