Sara Kottke is in her first season as an assistant women's basketball coach at SMSU in 2025-26 and will serve in all aspects of the program.
Kottke played three seasons (2020-23) at Bethany Lutheran College and closed her career scoring 520 points with 65 3-pointers, while averaging 6.4 rebounds per game. During a COVID shortened freshman season in 2020-21, she earned conference Rookie of the Year honors, while being named honorable mention all-conference. She played in 17 games as a sophomore averaging 11.2 ppg and 6.5 rpg before suffering a season-ending injury. Kottke came back in 2022-23 and played in 21 games averaging 11.2 ppg and 6.0 rpg.
Kottke, who served as an assistant coach at Buffalo Lake-Hector High School during the 2023-24 season, is 2024 graduate of Bethany Lutheran College.
